java error 545 has disabled 8700c after only 1 week
I have had my blackberry 8700c for only a week, replacing the 7290 that I had before.
While driving today, I noticed a strange message on my screen (it was sitting on my car charger). The screen was white, with a message "Java Error 545", and an option to "reset".
After trying for an hour, my device is still unusable, booting each time to the same error, which indicates either a corrupt file system or an incompatible file system.
the blackberry site wasn't of use, nor was the CD provided with the device. I suspect that the Operating System will need to be re-loaded, however, there don't appear to be the proper tools or instructions for doing so.
I'd recommend sticking with the 7290 until these devices are improved. One week is hardly an acceptable quality standard in my opinion.
