Default Carrier blocks BB browser on BIS - switch to hosted BES?

Please Login to Remove!

I have an 8700g running 4.1.xxx via BIS 1.8 on the Proximus net in Belgium

The carrier blocks the use of the BB browser - e.g. there is no button to send "Internet Browser books" on the BIS web page, like the button for sending service books. There is a WAP browser provided. (If I use the WAP browser to go to the BB mobile website at mobile.blackberry.com - I get an error message that says that I must use a BB browser to see the page! - also, I can't go to the additional themes page - says I must use a colour capable BB running 4.0 or above, etc., etc.)

If I switch to a BES service on Proximus, and use a hosted BES like Link2exchange, will I get a full BB browser? Or can the carrier block this as well?
