My Pearl sync'ed ok (i gave it a 6 out of 10). The main issue was that it could not sync times of tasks that I had scheduled. I was using PM4.0.
I have read that the Missing Sync ($40) is a rock solid product but I have not tried it yet.
I did not want to buy the iPhone yet either, I was hoping to buy the 2nd generation but was forced when I dropped it into a lake.
