Just upgraded my MacBookPro today with Leopard and my 8830 tethers on BT.
System preference settings: Bluetooth
Tel Number = #777
Acct Name = (your number)@vzw3.com
Password = Verizon login password
Advanced Bluetooth settings: Modem
Vendor = other
Model = Verizon 1xEVDO Modem Script
This should get you online after pairing your 8830 with a Mac.
