I think that you'll find the biggest difference between the BB8700 and the Treo is the ease of use of the thumbwheel on the side compared to having to pull out the stylus on the Treo for most operations. My wife is stuck with a Treo (she was dismissive of BBs in general), and now has a pretty clunky, battery-consuming, Bluetooth-inept device, while I glide through life with my BB8700c.
