I just got a new blackberry 8310 as a gift
and was invited to chat so I initially tried to download the blackberry messenger through my blackberry device but my browser gives an error saying http page not found. So using my PC, I followed the link given on my email by trying to download the blackberry messenger from
www.blackberry.com/messenger. My blackberry is not connected through BES just typical internet one.
Once I accepted the terms and entered my device password, I get an error
stating "Unsupported Device Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry Messenger". I don't get it!
The site states that the blackberry needs a BlackBerry Device Software version 3.6 or higher installed and I got the 4.x version, please help, what am I missing
or doing wrong.
Then when I refresh or go back to give it a try again, I get another error
stating "No BlackBerry Device Found Connect your BlackBerry device to the USB port on this computer now to load BlackBerry Messenger". Then I'd either reconnect my device and/or refresh or go back, I'll get another entering my device's password and then it'll prompt to the first error AGAIN!
I don't get it, the error jumps between these two error statements.
Is there another site that I can download it? How can I download it to my blackberry device software and then sync it when it won't get me there except trying to connect to my blackberry directly but when it's connected either says device not found or not supported?
Please help!
