I have the Dlink, and it'd be about the same as the Linksys. I tried the BB browser and Opera Mini and the settings won't come up. However there's no reason to access the settings on it except in very rare instances.
Basically, you just plug the network cable in and hopefully the browser on the BB will let you login to the hotel's network. If not, you're not worse off for having tried. You'll still have the other options you had before like trying to find an open wifi network in a cafe or something.
