Really, really glad that I found this thread.

I have been using Audible for a few years now, and have downloaded and listened for probably about 50 books on my HP iPaq.

I switched over to an 8830 as my do-everything-device. One criteria for choosing a device was that I could listen to my Audible audiobooks on it.

I downloaded Audibleair, and I couldn't believe how terrible the software was. Constant skipping, tracks randomly restarting, end of books not playing. Completely ruined my listening experience.

I actually called to cancel today, and instead went to the $9.95 per year plan which keeps my account open. The CSR I spoke said he was surprised when I mentioned that problems I had been having; he said he only remembered talking to a few other BB users who were having Audibleair issues.

I still have a backlog of Audiobooks that I haven't listened to yet because of the problems I have had with Audibleair.

I am going to try the latest version and hope for the best!
