ahh the bold not having 7.2 explains why my iphone tethering is faster and more reliable (i am in a switched on area). As far as 3G on the berry itself its gotta be the way they handle data as 3G on the berry is horribly slow downloading apps and browsing compared to iphone or any other 3g device i put my iphone sim into. Tethering with (thether) on the 9700 i couldnt even do a youtube video without tons of buffering, everything flies on the iphone. I have the berry just for multiple email accoutns, keyboard, and bbm but im debating my needs and if i need to continue the $9.99 + $30 for this extra line for the 9700, awesome phone though and i love toys
