Upgraded this time using BB Desktop software. Everything seemed to go well. It took three hours on our sloooow wifi. Next time I will wait and download the link and install separately. I also have installed the new, 700.100 BBM from BB Beta Zone. You may like to join and try it out. You can now make calls to other BBMs within BBM.
