8830 freezes when making call

I have an 8830 World Edition v4.2.2.66 & Verizon is my carrier.
Sometimes, I'll make a call and the phone just freezes. If I force it to shut down, the call finally goes through and I've got about 60 seconds on the connection before the phone completely shuts down and the call terminates. Is this happening to anyone else?
