Are you trying to use the full html versions of those sites? If so, try the mobile versions. The video on the mobile versions of the sites should work.

Example: Just tried the following from the fox news mobile site:

http://media2.foxnews.com/071411/ff_...=foxandfriends

It streams fine on 9700/5.0.0.714.
