I've used MapQuest Navigator and liked it except it would stop navigating for no reason. It does load the whole route at the beginning which will keep it navigating if you lose reception. I also had a problem with BB Maps doing the same thing. I just updated my 7100i to the latest software and BB Maps works the way it's supposed to. I can going to install MapQuest Navigator again today and see if the problem is solved. I understand that MapQuest will be $9.99 per month after the free trial like TeleNav is.
