Those icons were not for applications, they were simply links to install those applications placed there by service books from the previous service provider. Further, MMS and E-mail will only work if you have a BlackBerry service plan through your provider. According to Sun's website,
Sun Cellular, Sun does not offer BlackBerry data plans. If you wish to use any services other than voice and SMS, you will need to switch to another provider. I recommend SMART.
