The same can be said for all CDMA carriers. The crucial part i seemed to forget to post *and can't edit*
, was that someone working for Verizon and knowing what they're doing can get it to work within their system.
In canada, this guy took a Telus CDMA phone and registered it successfully on the Bell network [this was pre-HSPA on these networks] so security may be more tight now.
Regardless, it's do-able, but not worthwhile for any party.

OP sell it for parts on eBay. The best you can do on here is sell it for 20$ *if that* for someone who wants to give it to their kid as a toy... but that's what in-store dummy phones are for
