You should be able to close your consumer account and switch over to a business account without losing your number. They would just do the same way as if they were doing a Transfer of Responsibility (as if they were transferring the financial responsibility from one user to another without changing any of the device options). So your phone number should not change. I would verify with your service provider if you would lose your number by performing this.
