I have been having problems sending email from my hotmail account (error saying "invalid email address") and signing into my MS Live Messenger (error saying "program failed") for the past week or two. I upgraded to the new version of MS Live Messenger and I am not sure if it was coincidence or not but it took care of all my problems.

Just for a followup, it only fixed the problem with MS Live Messenger... not with Hotmail's email issues.
