Verichat uses data. It is basically an Instant Message client that you can use with AIM, MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, and ICQ. It is really neat, but it does use a lot of data and it does take some battery power as well. It does not use SMS which is good becuase the chat window is in real time, or very near real time.
