I just got the BB curve. I have an apple laptop and it doesnt recognize the disk. So how do I get the Desktop Manager on my computer?

welcome to the forums. you cannot use desktop manager. you have to use PocketMac® -- Unique Sync Solutions for Mac & Windows | Call Toll Free 1-866-POCK-MAC or i believe another application is called missing sync.

or if you can run bootcamp or parallels you can use Windows on your Mac, then load DM
