I have enabled email sync on my Q10. We are using Lotus Notus at work. In stead of justo downloading the last 30 days of emails, the device downloaded my complete archive. This resulted in a 2.5 gb download. However, none of the emails could be seen on the device as it seems that it had chucked away the mails older than 30 days.

Is this a known issue with the sync software?

Do you have a recent backup of your device that you can restore, and then reactivate again?

That won't help. The device will still get rid of anything older than 30 days.

Really, why did they do that? What's the benefit? Since its Lotus/Domino, what if they delete the state database for that user. Will that help?

I can think of a lot of reasons to restrict how much data is held on the device, but who knows which one they used if any.

Deleting databases won't help. It's a device OS restriction.
