I've searched this forum and others for hours and nothing I've found has worked... I tried to update my 8310 to OS v4.5, and in the middle of the install Windows crashed. Now I get the error message on my Blackberry "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException" and it freezes. After a few minutes it resets and does it again.

I tried downloading JL_Cmder and it wouldn't install. I tried using AppLoader through command prompt to reinstall the old OS, but it didn't recognize that the Blackberry was connected. I tried connecting and reconnecting, removing and replacing the battery and SIM card, but nothing is working.

I'm not worried about losing any of my data on the Blackberry, everything is backed up... I just need a way to wipe it without connecting it to a computer, if possible. Can anyone help?

Have you tried pulling the SIM card and reloading?

This happened to me like 2 months go. I tried everything there was.
So, thank god I was still under warranty, so they sent me a new one. I was so pissed, I lost everything.

I did try that, but it didn't recognize that the Blackberry was even connected so it didn't do anything.

I ended up using a different computer to download JL Cmder and that wiped it, so I'm trying to reinstall the OS now.
