Default Docs to go starts whenever phone is rebooted?

Please Login to Remove!

I've got a VZW Tour 9630 with Documents To Go Premium v2. Works fine for what I use it for, but the issue is that DTG starts and runs in the background every time I use quick pull (or restart the phone any other way, for that matter). So if I forget to open DTG and "exit" it, it runs in the background all day and drains my battery.

There don't seem to be any options in the DTG menu to change this, and the dataviz website is no help. I've posted this question in their forums, but figured the much wider knowledge base here would yield better luck.

Anyone else have this problem, and a solution to it? MSCONFIG would work if it were happening on my PC, but I have no clue how to do something like that on my Tour.

Do you mean the "Documents To Go Files" app? I don't think there is a way to stop it from launching and running in the background after restarting the phone.

I haven't seen a significant reduction in battery life when it is running. Are you sure it is this app that is draining your battery?

That's what I'm referring to, and aside from the usual 5 (Browser, phone, messages, BBM & home screen) its the only app that shows as running when I hold the menu button after a reboot.

Granted, its not a huge drain, but I simply don't want it running unnecessarily. Every little bit helps.

Then you must close it manually. Their is no option to disable it with the startup of the device.

We can only hope Dataviz provides the option in future releases

Yea it is something.. But I from what I have seen DTG Files doesn't really add much more strain to the BlackBerry. So it's really nothing to worry about.

I use to go out of my way to close it, but now after having it for so long I don't bother anymore. I haven't noticed much of a performance impact with it running and I'm running an 8330 if you a 9630 you really shouldn't even notice it.
