Default new mail icon not working

Please Login to Remove!

I am having some sudden strange behavior with one of the email accounts on my Blackberry Bold. The account is a gmail account and never had any issues before today. I noticed this morning that email wasn't pushed, despite the fact that new messages were in that mailbox. I removed and re-added the account, as well as resent the service books. Now, mail seems to be going to the account again, but the new mail indicator (red asterisk) is not working for the account, although I do get a new mail indicator on the main "Messages" envelope icon when mail comes into that account. Any ideas? Thanks!

If there are new messages in the folder, then it is being pushed. I would suggest you check your new messages indicator option in Messages > Options > General Options, and reboot with a battery if necessary.

There were only new messages in the folder after I deleted and re-added the account. The pushing thing is not an issue at this point... it is the lack of new message indicator that is the current annoyance. And yes, the setting for new message indicator is set to "Yes".

Ok, so you've checked the LED new message indicator is enabled?
