Default T-mobile rep and success of Storm

Please Login to Remove!

Well I just spent over 30 minutes talking to a t-mob rep. (I was having an issue with failed calls) and he was pretty knowledgeable on his blackberry upgrades. He wouldn't give me a date on the 8220, but said they have completed training for it. He thinks that the success of the Storm will coincide w/ the success of the android. He thinks if the android does good that the it will be a good future for touch screen phones, and if it does bad the iPhone will remain untouched.

I think it will do well. Touch screens are all the rage. The iphone will sell well no matter what the Storm or Android does.

I don't believe that these three devices (iPhone, Storm, G1) are that tightly tied to each other.

I think we will see very good sales of the Android phones, for more reasons than it being a touch screen phone. Many people want to be on the (anti-Apple) first "Google Phone" and want to embrace the OS. The Android phone is much more than a touch screen imho.

My opinion on the Storm, is that there will be weak adoption initially, just based on the majority of users being business oriented, and a touch screen is typically received as a consumer oriented phone. There will be quite a few, that look to the Storm to be the best of both worlds, a well designed touch screen device on their network of choice.
