Default BES Express 5.0.2 showing old email address for user?

Please Login to Remove!

Just started working with BES Express 5.0.2. Installed on an Exchange 2007 server and seems to be working well.

We changed the email address of a user earlier today. When trying to add the user to BES using "Create a user" the email address is still showing up as the old one. I checked AD and the Exchange Management Console and everything is showing up as his new email address. His old address was actually removed from his account.

How long should BES Express take to update the user's email address? Is there a way to force it?

Thanks

This AM it is finally showing the up-to-date email address. I'm still wondering why this took so long, however, and if there is a way to speed it up in the future.

Thanks

This is an Exchange issue. It is only updating the GAL once every 24 hours. If you need to speed that up, see following article:

I actually did force an update of the OAB thinking that would be the fix. After updating I ensured an Outlook client downloaded the OAB and saw the updated address. But I checked BES about 10-15 minutes after and it was still out of date.

I wonder how often BES updates itself from the OAB?

BAS might take 30 minutes to pick it up, but on the BB device you should see it immediately (using lookup).

This was a new user/device we were adding to BES. Didn't want to add it until BES showed the correct address.

Thanks!!
