Default bb 9650 - SIGNAL ISSUES

Please Login to Remove!

hey everyone,

Did some searching and see that signal variations issues are common on the 9650 Sprint or VZ... ( i thought i was going crazy... but i guess you all have same issues)

Questions:

1. Those that recieved a new phone from sprint, how did you go about getting a NEW PHONE vs a REFURBISHED sent your way. Ive had the phone for 3 months and dont feel like getting a refurbished or like new copy.

2. If they sent you to a local store...was the technician able to detect the issue? I went to one today, he said my apps are open and that causing signal issue, complete BS... so im about to call Sprint customer service and start ripping them a new one since this is the 5th call to them and they keep sending me places to determine wether the device is deffective or i am seeing things.

I found version .732 to work the best regarding reception issues. Make sure to use wifi when available unless its very restrictive

I too have the same issues on VZW with my Bold 9650. We have deployed about 30 of these devices in our Enterprise and they all seem to have reported some sort of data loss from time to time.

I've noticed that in the top right corner of the screen, you'll have a 3G with the blackberry logo and then your signal bars. When my data on my Blackberry isn't working, the Blackberry Logo is not there. If I go into my connections and just turn off all connections and renable them, then the logo comes back and all my data starts working again. Sometimes I have to do a battery pull for data to fully restore. I never had this issue on my 8830 WE. I have several users experiencing the same problems.
