Default Lock code

Now what the hell is going on with my blackberry (8330) ?

I have the blackberry to lock after 5 minutes. I woke up this morning and attempted to unlock the BB to use it and it won't unlock. I have a 4 digit code that I use and when I normally put the code in the display show 4 asteriks. Now when I type it in it shows the actual letters and it will not let me unlock the phone. I pulled the battery and put it back it but it does the same thing. Any suggestions?

Usually when I run into this it's required a master reset to fix which results in a loss of all data on the phone, since you can only do a back up after you enter the code to unlock the device. Dunno if anyone else would have a different solution.

I don't own a blackberry, so not to me personally. But with the customers I help, it's very rare, and most can be attributed to them forgetting the password, but a few of them seem to have genuinely had a software corruption or something along those lines.

No.... you've probably got an uppercase or numeral in your Password -- or THINK you do, when you really don't.

So if your PW were something like "1234" it could "wers" or the equivalent, or "1ers"
