Default Problem with google maps

Please Login to Remove!

hey guys,

I just upgraded to the newest verison of Google maps and now everytime I try to use it, it says Network Unavailable, and give an explaination. I have T-mobile, unlimited data, i'm able to use my browse, opera-mini, Ramble IM, etc. everything else works fine, just not this new version of google maps. Any ideas? I have full edge service (live in NYC). oddly enough both my car navigation and my blackberry navigation have stopped working on me in the same week, some one doesn't want me to travel. thanks for any help

When you install a new version of Googlemaps and run it for the first time, depending on the security policies configured on your BB, you will get a prompt asking whether you want to allow the application to access the internet. If inadvertently at that moment you have clicked on the wrong checkbox - Google Maps will not be allowed to connect over the internet. What you might want to check is - go to Settings -> Advanced Options -> Applications -> Google Maps -> Edit Permissions. See if under "Connections" "Carrier Internet" says "Deny". If yes click on it and modify it to either Prompt or Allow.
