Default phone with X Icon for missed calls good, rectangular envelope bad

Please Login to Remove!

Ok, I'm going to try to explain what I'm trying to achieve. When I get a missed call, it shows an icon of a little phone with an X. This is the icon that I want for missed called. I do not want the regular message icon (the rectangular envelop) to show up for a missed call.

In other words, I want it to behave as follows:

1 type of icon for SMS (a slanted envelope)

1 type of icon for email (a rectangular envelope)

1 type of icon for missed calls (a phone with an X)

The problem right now is that when I get a missed call, it adds a phone with an X AND a rectangular envelope. I don't want that rectangular envelope for missed calls. I only want the rectangular envelope for email messages.

The reason I want it to behave like this is so I can glance at my homescreen and see 3 different icons at the top with numbers next to them showing me (1)SMS; (2)Email; (3)Missed Calls. That way I immediately know how many of each type I have.

Sorry if I'm unclear. Does anyone know what I'm talking about and have a solution?

Thanks.

Sorry, but these alerts are controlled by the carrier, not your device.

See if this works:

1)Go into your phone app.
2) Press the Blackberry key and select Options.
3) Scroll to "Call Logging" and click on the trackball/trackpad.
4) Select "None".
5) Press the Back key and select "Save".

This might keep the envelope from appearing in your message list.
