Hi forum users i am new and decided to join due to all the blackberry help i have seen throughout the internet.

I recently bought a second hand blackberry that was not on contract, i inserted my sim card and all that jazz and when i started the blackberry up i got the Orange showing at the top and i had signal! I tried sending a text but it wouldnt send, i went to make a call but it just said call failed! I am on contract and inserted my contract sim! Please can somebody help thankyou!

Is the SIM card on Orange as well?
Get a SIM card swap at the local Orange store, newer SIMs work best, even if the current SIM works on another phone.

So do you think their is a good chance it is the sim card?
What would happen if it was blocked?

There's a good chance it is either.
But rule out the SIM card first, it's a free swap to change the SIM, and the easiest thing to rule out first.
