I brought a Blackberry 8700G a few days ago off ebay the man i brought said it had been wiped but when i turned it on all his data and numbers were still on there, I have now wiped it myself but i havent got a clue how to set it up? can any one help me please

Do you have a blackberry data plan through your service provider?

No i dont it has a pay as you go o2 sim card in it. how can i get a data plan?

You tell your provider you want it and have it added to your account. You will need the blackberry specific data plan in order to have the blackberry services(i.e. BIS).



Take a look through blackberryfaq.com if you haven't already.

EDIT: don't know if you will be able to add data service to a pay-as-you-go plan. Someone will comment on that, I hope. I doubt you will be able to do it.

As a general comment, I am reading a lot of cases where people have problems with devices purchased on ebay.
