I am on my second BB Curve 8300. I am on ATT .311 os and i noticed somehting quite spectacular.

my last phone worked fine, just had some backlite problems, but one thing it did, along with my bb tmobile unlocked pearl was that when it was dropped or hit hard enough, i would get the error, INVALID SIM, and it would go into SOS mode. Well today my phone slipped out of my breast pocket. as my heart lept as i heard it hit my floor (felll 3 feet, thankyou bb case) i noticed it something. i watched as my service decreased then INVALID SIM/SOS, not 2 seconds later, it reset itself, gaining it's EDGE back and back to normal.

on my old curve and pearl, i would havta soft-reset, and if that didn't work, battery pull.

i just had to share this beautiful fix i found, an automatic sim/connection reset on failure... *cries* finally

Sounds like the issue with treo 650's where pressure in the wrong place could make the SIM lose contact.
