Opera Mini as default browser 8830

Does anyone know how to set Opera Mini as the default browser on a 8830? The reason why i asked is because i do not have the BB browser activated, and any url links i clicked through gmail, defaults to the BB browser which does not work.
Also, any way to turn off the annoying lower level security set to stop asking (Yes - NO) everytime i start Opera Mini? I've tried security options and picked allowed for all and disabled firewall as well.
