if someone sends me a text message with a picture ,How can I save the attatchment .I have an sd card ,I looked on all the options but the only option that is close is to save the entire message,I want to save the picture only to my card.

At least for email, open the attached image and then select 'save image' from the menu. Don't know about SMS but maybe works same way.
