Default Will Services still run????

Please Login to Remove!

Hello all,

Quick questions for you all....

I have installed BES 4.1.4 on a separate server from Exchange 2007 due to compatibility, it took me 4 days to get the software on and eventually working.

I have added a couple of users and things seem to be ok, however, my manager works away and has his new BB with him, it's not activated for email just yet, but he would like it to be activated this wknd if poss.

I'm not at work this wknd, so, when I left I left the BES server logged on, if I remote on to it and add my manager and get him to sync his BB wirelessly, when I log off (Terminal Services) will the BB services still run even though the Server is no longer 'logged' on???

I'm sure someone out there knows the answer to this one!

Thanks in advance

Sven

any services on the machine will continue to run. A user does not have to be logged into the machine for services to run. That's why they call them services, and not applications.

thats what i was thinking, but i just wanted to make sure before i logged off the server...
excuse my ignorance, but the BES and Blackberry Manager software is completely foreign to me and its been a very sharp 4 day learning curve.

No problem.

the Blackberry server is installed as a service. That means it runs whenever the computer is on, and the OS is up and running. The best way to equate it is that when you turn on a computer, Windows loads, and windows is running, but you don't have to be logged in for windows to actually run.
