has anybody dealt with this error before I keep seen this error pop up. RIM says that all it needs is a reboot but when i do it still pops up on event view and there are alot of them on the same day.

This error is usually network connectivity related.

Can you give us more information about your setup?

What BES version?
Hardware running on?
How many users?
Is the database local or remote?

Do you have other services (applications) running on the server that are not BES related?

When this happens can you monitor your firewall and server nic for traffic on TCP port 3101 or run an SRP connection test from the Blackberry Server Configuration menu?

You can always try updating your network card to the latest device drivers as well.

Hi Phan Man, I am having same problems. My suers can not send/receive/lookup I do not know if this is related with the event log, but this is one of the errors i see (yes I have other BES related error in the Aplication event log)

My BES is an HP Proloant DL380 G5 running on WIN 2003 Server (Standard) with SP2
It has Blackberry Enterprise Server v4.1.4

I have more or less 100-105 users (users come and go almost every week)

Databse is in the same server.

No other services are running on this server that is NON Blackberry

As soon as this happened i tested via TELNET to the IP of my SRP (RIM Asia Pacific) on port 3101 and it did connect successfully.

I am now trying to look for updated NIC drivers for my server, will let you know...

But any other suggestions would be appreciated.

done installing NIC updates. Installed also hotfix for BES 4.1.4 SP 4 MR 2

The messages in the application logs are still present...

I am not sure what do you mean by "mesages" if you mean to say the error logs, it is re-occurring randomly- and when it occurs messages can not be sent nor receive and lokup doesn't work. Well I am unsure if it is actually related to:

But nevertheless, I really am worried about it appearing randomly on my logs..
