Default i found a Sprint Curve

Please Login to Remove!

i work at the Miami International Airport. my co-worker found a Sprint Curve. he has At&t and he uses the iphone. i've been meaning to dump my Sprint q9c for the Curve. so i'm trying to wrestle it away from him. if i'm successful is there anyway i could get it activated? i'm sure it's been reported lost. is there anyway i can have TEP give me another one if i'm unable to activate it on my account?

Um.. why wouldn't you call Sprint first and/or try to contact the owner about it?

Oy here we go again. Apparently morality is not as common as finding other peoples' lost technology

Tomato, tomahto. Tell your co-worker to hand it over to Sprint.

Receiving stolen goods is still a crime. Especially when you KNOW that the device was lost/stolen in the first place.

You won't get a lot of sympathy or assistance here trying to hold on to a lost phone. There was an obnoxious poster here a few days a go that got quite a few backs up with his attitude and demeanor. Open the Curve battery compartment, the IMEI number is on a sticker below the battery, call Sprint with that number and they can track down the owner.

Whoa yourself! You just typed in an earlier post that you were trying to wrestle it away from him. Thief of the 1st party, or second party.... still a thief!

yea wrestle it away as in buy it from him because some others wanted to buy it from him too.

either way, you guys are right. 2 wrongs don't make a right. i'm sorry guys. i didn't mean to make a bad impression. you guys are right because i would want my phone returned to me if it was me. i guess i just wanted a Curve so bad that the idea of getting one extremely cheap is just too tempting to pass up. hopefully the mods can come lock this thread quickly.

So buy it from him and return it to prevent the chain of stolen custody. But hey... I sleep fine at night, would you if you were walking around with this?

Re mikeypants' last post since it won't let me quote it right, I hear the swell of violins playing in the background.

Yeah, save up and buy your own BB, you'll appreciate it more. A BB that's been reported lost/stolen is going to be disabled, so your friend has a nice paperweight on his hands.

It is however, very good to know, that the MIA staff doesn't report found property. I wonder which piece of luggage he "found" it in?

I'm glad that you are doing the right thing! Congrats! Now for some killer deals on a curve check-out the WTB/WTS Section on the forum! There are some great deals there!

Good Luck and we will be here when you get own legit Curve to answer any questions!

you were just picking parts of my posts to make it look my story is switching up. in my original post i said my co worker was the one who found a sprint curve. and i don't know how long ago he found. he came up to me and told me he found a curve and said he's selling it. so if he has other people trying to buy from him then of course i'm going to try to wrestle it from him. my story didn't change one bit.

and when i said i wanted a curve so bad getting one extremely cheap was too tempting to pass up, that still doesn't change my story. that's just the reason i wanted to buy it.

either way, i'm not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers. so please let's get this thread locked.

I think I just realized why they called it Lo-Jack back when GPS recovery became mainstream.

As in "That Lo-life Jacked my property and I want it back!"
