Default BB Bold - camera permission settings

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, we are doing some testing on BB bold and when our app try to use the camera to take a pic, the following error comes.

"Up to the point of taking the picture, it works fine, although the picture can not be saved and a popup window appears with a message "yyy app has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the fire wall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT Policy".

Following this, I get a message "yyy picture error, could not save the image", followed by "Uncaught exception: Application yyy (144) is not responding 'process terminated' ".

Current firmware on the device is 4.6.0.112.

also tried to do Options> Security Options> Firewall>Status: Disable
but it is not allowing to disable.

the BB is in BES....is this anything to do with a BES

has anybody come across this error while using camera? Any advice/help is much appreciated.

-Munni

Sounds like your BES has a policy forbidding cameras -- not at all unusual.
