Default TMO User: Desktop software no sync items

Please Login to Remove!

I just got a new Tmobile 7100t last week, and upgraded to 4.0 . everything going great but I noticed on the blackberry desktop manager that I only have "Applicaton Loader" "Backup and Restore" and "Intellisync". It was the same three icons when I first put in the cd and it put on 3.6.x and stayed the same for 4.0.. I got the dl from Tmobile and noticed in looking around that others have a REDIRECTOR and the ability to sync with outlook items (which I'd like)

Im a BWC user BTW in case that makes a difference in what Im able to see/do

Thanks in advance for any guidance and assistance.

See if you can expand the Desktop Manager box. I'd bet the Redirector icon is hidden.

Intellisync is the icon you use to sync your BlackBerry to Outlook.

I think it comes in the setup of DM if you setup an external email account if I remember right. It's been 6mo or so since I've played with the redirector though.

I setup the [email address] account

Im really not too concerned about the redirector since email all worked out, what I WAS hoping for is the ability to sync up calendar, contacts etc with my Outlook 2003

You can sync up your contacts, notes and tasks with Outlook. Use the included Intellisync software that is part of Desktop Manager. Click on Intellisync, "Configure" PIM and then "Synchronize now".

And beware the Redirector option if you do not have BES. When you get your email data plan working, the redirector software will futz up your ability to send email. You'll be able to receive but not send. If necessary, reinstall Desktop Manager and choose NOT to install redirector.
