I have an 8900 paired with a Plantronic Discovery 925. I can not just say a command- I seem to have to press the button on the BB for voice command before I say anything. My Motorolla 700 series, I could just talk to my phone... Am I missing something? Any suggestions?

Nope, that sounds about right. With most headsets you need to press the button in order to activate the voice dialing program. If it were always on it would probably drain quite a bit of battery.
