Default Installing Latest OS-No Wipe Needed?

Please Login to Remove!

Been looking at upgrading software-I get this black box with timer coming on screen a lot. My feeling is OS is corrupted.
I have Enterprise server and using Verizon.Saw on some site either my company or forum that you should wipe your blackberry before installing new OS. Is that statement correct?
Am I better off doing a wipe?
Advice appreciated, thanks!!!!

It's not required, rarely needed.

I'd recommend the upgrade only, first. See how it works, and if you feel you must, then do the wipe using JLCmder and reload the OS.

...and if you're connected to a BES, you'll have to do an Enterprise Activation after the OS upgrade to get your device to communicate with the BES again.

I never do a wipe unless I am trying to downgrade.

Wirelessly posted (Tour)

I did mine over the air by sending the request via the BES, it worked great other than it took an hour to complete. I did not have to re activate which surprised me.
