Default Refreshing mailfile details

Please Login to Remove!

Bit of Noob on the forum so if this is the wrong place I apologise.

I work in a Lotus Notes / Domino / BB team and have migrated a user between mail domains. BES / Blackberry Manager (5) should pick up the change of mailfile location accordingly, but it doesn't. Is there a way to force the refresh without removing and readding the user and doing an enterprise activation?

Cheers

I'm guessing I need to reload user as per below instructions, but the options not there. Is this because our administrator has probably locked down that function?

In the BlackBerry® Administration Service, on the BlackBerry solution management menu, expand User.
Click Manage users.
Search for a user account.
In the search results, click the display name for the user account.
In the Status list, click Reload user.

As long as the changes in the _ORIGINAL_ Person document are replicated to the Domino Directory on the BES server, it should get updated by BES' periodic rescan of the user's settings. You can watch the MAGT log file for the event [40055]. This rescan also happens with every BES restarts.

I said _ORIGINAL_ person document is because BES Domino 5.0.x now tracks its UNID; if this document has been recreated (aka change in UNID), I've seen cases where login failed when accessing Web Desktop Manager or BAS (if the user has been granted access to admin server). The reason is that the DIIOP will validate the UNID against the record in the UserConfig's table of BES Config DB, if there is a mismatch, it throws you out. As for functions like message flow, will appear to work fine.
