Angry Outlook Calendar sync issues

Please Login to Remove!

Issues syncronizing Outlook calendar. When Desktop Manager is "reading Outlook calendar", it shows error message "The operation terminated unexpectedly" every time when reading the same record (708 out of 1412).

Tried:
-deleting Intellisync folder and reconfiguring synchronization
-running scanpst.exe and scanost.exe on Outlook OST data file
-deleting Blackberry calendar databases entirely using Advanced Backup and Restore menu

Software versions:
Outlook 7
BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0.1.37

Would really appreciate some help on this one.

Outlook 7? Do you mean 2007 or 1997? There is no Outlook 7 as far as I know.

If it is 1997, you are out of luck. You need DM 4.2 or earlier and I think all of those are gone from the RIM website.

Do have the Sync configured properly in DM? Is record 708 blank by any chance?

As far as I can tell (not too far it is configured properly, and did in fact run OK for a week or so.

Per sync log, record 708 was not blank, a normal meeting with no attachments. It was far in the past and I deleted it. Now the same error happened on record 706 which is a different meeting on an adjacent day. Deleted it too. Now 705.

OK, so I ended up "reparing" Desktop Manager by running installer and choosing "Repair", and it did sync everything.

Thank you for your help.

I was wondering, not sure what your policy with resolved items is, but would it by any chance be possible to keep this thread open for a couple of weeks? I run into this issue, like, every other day, and every time there is a different song and dance that helps, and there is no way to figure it out but by random poking. I am thinking maybe I could collect all the fixes in one place. So now I have four:
-deleting Intellisync folder and reconfiguring synchronization
-running scanpst.exe and scanost.exe on Outlook OST data file
-deleting Blackberry calendar databases entirely using Advanced Backup and Restore menu
-repairing Desktop Manager by running installer

If it would be better to start a new thread if (or, rather, when) I run into such issues again, I will gladly do that.
