Most likely this is an OS issue. What OS version are you using?

I have the same problem. Its a hassle to keep scrolling all the way down. I know if it's an email conversation however, you can just type "b" and it brings you to the bottom, but the same doesn't exactly work in a text conversation.

I have the same problem.

Click on the text, (now you see it halfway up) exit the text using the "return button", then re-open the text and now it should be on the bottom.

They need to fix this!

once you click on the thread, move your cursor up slightly. at that point, it should jump to the end of the conversation. you can then put your cursor back into the reply box.

i've found that if you scroll up at a normal pace, you end up actually scrolling and then you have to scroll all the way back down to the end of the conversation before you can get to the reply box. if this happens, escaping to the thread list and going back into the conversation usually puts you at the bottom.

this really needs to get fixed though. pretty irritating that this wasn't caught.

All OS versions exhibit this behavior on the 97xx. Hit "R" to get to the bottom. Also, they have this nasty tendency to distort the font on scrolling in bbm and txt.

actually, it looks like you literally do not scroll at all. a small upward motion on the trackpad is all you need.

It only works from WITHIN the actual message. You CAN NOT hit "R" from the message list to reply to a message, unlike e-mail messages. If it doesn't work from within the message, you have an issue with your OS...but I seriously doubt that's the case here.

Sometimes it works for me, but other times it doesn't...

It doesn't work as well in long conversations for me.

I just experimented.

are you talking about pressing R while in the conversation? or in a single message itself?

I have ANOTHER issue: Every time on my Mac using Safari that I logon to these boards I get the prompt that auto loads the page to logon AGAIN!? ARRRGH I must refresh to be fully logged on.

Back on topic I HAD this issue for sometime using same OS 6.0.0.285 yet its now gone: in a long thread/short one.

Single text there really isn't a need to press "R" key or scroll to the reply entry.

PS: I really hope QNX is seriously high performing and makes a rebound for BlackBerry - if not then I'll keep this 9780 until late summer & switch! These small little bugs are MORE prevailent in BB6 than ANY other revision or major OS release that RIM has made in recent memory. Yes I LOVE feeds, webkit engine & how it improves BOTH email/browser - but I'm very upset that there are STILL too few apps migrated to 9780 and more so for the Torch.
