Hi all
I can't find any posts covering this subject.

I use the Voice Notes Recorder on my BB Bold 9700 to record meetings, conversations and presentations. This works very well if I don't want to use my BB for anything else ( I have an 8GB microSD card so length of recording is no problem).

The problem is that I like to check messages or take short notes at the same time and as soon as I try to "Switch Applications" it pauses the recording

Does any body know how I might prevent this, as no customization seems to be possible.

I'm on v5.0.0.586 (platform 5.1.0.146) ... perhaps upgrading would resolve?

I'd really appreciate any suggestions as this cold be such a useful feature.

No experience, so don't know for sure. But how about doing a hard reset and then test? If you haven't, give it a try. (With power on, remove the battery for at least 30 seconds.)

Thanks for the suggestion ... unfortunately it didn't work. Anybody any other ideas ?

I just tested and it looks like 9700/5.0.0.714 does the same thing. My gut feeling was it should not pause, but it is what it is. You could try an OS upgrade if there is one available, but my bet is it won't make any difference on this.
