Question Using an old copy of a BESv5 Virtual Server...

Please Login to Remove!

We are are currently using BES v5.03 for IBM Domino 8.5.3 running on a Windows 2008 x64 Virtual Server (VMware).

My question is quite simple...

If say this virtual server died for any reason and we had to start an old copy of the virtual server, say 6 months old, what implications would this cause?

For example: would users suddenly start receiving all e-mail they'd previously received on their handsets due to the state databases being 6 month old??

All help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Richard.

Anything can happen, BES might not even accept the device connections. Also users you have added in those 6 months are lost.

It might be easier to start with a fresh database and then back it up daily.
