why does my blackberry keep saying "Emergency Calls only" when i try and make a call?

Is the keyboard locked? That's one situation where it will only place emergency calls.

Either you roamed to the wrong network.. or your SIM card's disabled by your carrier..

If you are connected to BES, you may have an IT Policy on it that only allows for emergency calls.

emergency calls only usually occur with either disconnected service, or a sim card error. call your provider.
