Not sure if eOffice is required? eSpell from Dynoplex looks like a good option though. http://www.dynoplex.com/eSpell.shtml

METAmessage has a device based and server based spell check solutions. Rumor is that they have spell check for French, German, Italian, and Spanish as well as UK and US English.
www.metamessage.com

I got this offercode from a collegue for a 30 day trial, code=4546.

How about a FREE spell checker?!? I have set up BBSpellCheck (from the same guy that developed BBToday and BBLight) on our BES server and it works great. Here's the link to the thread on PDAStreet: http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/show...threadid=56341

Here's the link to his different apps:

I you had a 7520, you could have used a free spell check for Nextel - check it out here: www.dynoplex.com/nextel.shtml.

Otherwise you can buy eSpell, it now has both device and service options.

I don't see that app out there anymore... do you know if it has been moved or if it is still offered?

It is out there. You should be able to find it under Download Applications in Internet Browser. Or go to www.dynoplex.com/nextel and send yourself a link.

Most of my users are running Cingular 7290's... I won't be able to use anything from Nextel.

Any idea if the server side Spell Check is compatible with all BB models/service providers?

Thanks!

I have been using espell for several weeks and have had no problems. The program works much like the PC based spellcheckers and is very easy to install and use. I like the fact it resides on your BB and does not require linking to a server to spell check a document (although doing so is an option with espell). I called to purchased the program and was offered a 10% discount. The program cost is $29.99 (pre-discount) and worth every penny.

Do a search for bbcorrector. It's freeware and there's a guy here who is letting us use his server for free.

http://blackberrytools.sourceforge.net/OverTheAir/ is the app

http://www.rebreathertech.com:81/cgi...ctorServer.cgi is the server

Agreed, I've been using eSpell for over a year with two different BB's. Highly recommend it. Plus when you upgrade BB's you can take it with you without having to buy it again unlike a certain number of other apps.

Default LexSpell reviewed by BlackBerryCool

Although I don't quite agree with everything this review says, it's at least worth evaluating the options when choosing a spell checker for your BlackBerry...so check out LexSpell as well!

home page: LexSpell spell checker for BlackBerry

review: BlackBerryCool » LexSpell for BlackBerry reviewed

Full disclosure: I work for BEIKS LLC, maker of the LexSpell for BlackBerry.
