yup, getting same error for some users too.

any clue how to resolve this?

I think, it has to do with the BB pearl trying to save a pic as a contact.

I think in BES 4.1.2 it will try and sync the pictures back to the Exchange server so if you ever wipe your HH, and do an EA it will bring them back. (Very cool, cuz it works on mine! )

What version of Exchange are you running?
What version of Outlook are you running?

the strange thing is that the 2 users encountering this error are using 8707
not Pearl.

will take your advise to to da a EA & see if it works. Thanks

Having the same error with BES 4.1.2 and Pearl handheld. After the error occurred several times, BES "lost" the PIN on the HH (errors below) and a new EA was required. Are these possibly related? What can be done to prevent both/either?

By default, users can synchronize pictures as part of the contact entries in their address book. Users can add, delete, and replace pictures in either their desktop email application or on their BlackBerry device.
The BlackBerry Messaging Agent limits the file size of a picture that you can synchronize between the desktop email application and the BlackBerry device to a maximum of 32 KB.
If your messaging environment includes Microsoft Outlook 2000, users are also required to name the picture “ContactPicture.jpg” when they attach it to the contact entry. If that file name is not used, the picture does not synchronize.
To prevent contact picture synchronization, clear the Pictures address book field mapping.

forgot to mention, you need to do this from user desktop manager > PIM Synch, Contacts > advanced settings > field mapping > dcroll down the list and highligh contact picture, press space bar and ok to save

Hi. I am hoping someone can help me. I'm having a similiar issue as above but we are running BES 4.0 SP6 and my user has a Pearl. I'm not getting any error or warning messages on the server but I can't get the contact pictures on the device. I've checked the mappings but they are correct. Also, this the second device he's had. On the first device, the pictures came over without a problem.
