I am having a few issues with our Blackberry devices not getting the update or not reporting the update has been applied back to the BES. I have rolled out patch version 2.2 to all devices but I have about 10% still showing as having issues.

My question is if I am to update the 2.2 patch manager to version 2.3 all handhelds will receive it, but will the ones that already have version 2.2 applied need a reset after receiving the new 2.3 version?

The ones that already have the patch can have the DST configuration (with 2.2) removed. The ones with the issues can have the new DST config (with 2.3) applied to them.

2.2. people dont need an upgrade. Heck, I've got people with 1.5, 2.2 and 2.3.

OK, great thanks! Now here's a silly question, how do I remove the 2.2 configuration from the devices? I know how to assign the application in the BES Manager, but I can not see a place to remove it. (BES 4.1.2)

You dont want to remove the DST config from the DEVICES you want to remove it from the Handheld server view.
Go under Handhelds
Select the folks you want
Click Assign Software Configuration
Then Select NONE and click OK.
